Parenting and families across the lifespan
Parenting is a lifelong journey, which begins before a child is born and continues when the child reaches adulthood and beyond. The tasks and needs of parents differ substantially across the course of development.
While some areas are relatively well understood, there are many gaps in our knowledge.
This stream of research aims to support parents across the lifespan, beginning with parenthood preparation through to grandparenting. It aims to understand parents’ needs, and develop and test interventions to address these needs.
