Researcher biography

Saumya Singh joined the PFSC in July 2017. Prior to commencing her doctoral studies at UQ she worked as a licensed clinical psychologist for close to eight years in India. She has an advanced post-graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS, India as well as a Masters degrees in Psychology (University of Lucknow, India) and in Health Science (Johns Hopkins University, USA). Her areas of interest and evolving expertise in research are mental health service provision in low and middle-income countries, with a special focus on treatment adaptation and stakeholder engagement. Saumya is also interested in mindfulness-based practices, and how they can be used to create more compassionate and resilient communities.
