Community engagement and implementation science
For evidence-based parenting and family support programs to have real social impact they need to be accessible to all families. Often the families who could benefit most do not access services due to numerous barriers. Practitioners servicing low-resource and remote communities also face many challenges.
The field of implementation science is growing and this research aims to examine and meet the training and support needs of practitioners for sustainable program delivery. It also involves collaborative community engagement to explore program adaptations required to engage hard-to-reach families.
