Children in social situationAround 10 per cent of the world’s children and adolescents have social, emotional or behavioural problems that can interfere with everyday learning, functioning and development. While the factors that can cause these problems have been extensively researched, few large-scale studies have been conducted across countries and cultures focusing on potentially modifiable factors within the family.

This research stream aims to understand the risk and protective factors for the development of problems, and to gather data on parents’ needs and preferences for accessing services and support.
